Delivering the first response, from natural disasters to conflict

Prosper Global has responded to almost every global natural disaster in the last 25 years, including the Indian Ocean tsunami, the drought crisis across the Horn of Africa, the 2015 earthquake and 2026 flash flood in Nepal. As climate change intensifies crises like these, we work with communities to respond in the wake of disasters and build the tools to face what comes next.

With decades of experience in emergency response, we have delivered critical aid for communities in conflict zones, including Gaza, Ukraine, and Sudan. Our deep and longstanding local partnerships help us reach people in hard-to-access areas, respond quickly, and pivot our response as needs evolve.

Emergency priorities

We don't define what people need most. Communities do. That's why we prioritize cash assistance wherever local markets continue to be accessible. Cash aid gives families the dignity and choice to purchase what they need the most while also jumpstarting local economies.

When crisis strikes, clean water is a lifeline. It stops disease and eases suffering. When water runs scarce, someone must source it—and that job falls on women and girls, often posing a real risk. We bring water directly to communities, repair damaged infrastructure, and restart sanitation services quickly, so no one has to choose between safety and survival. We train community members to maintain these systems and keep essential services running long after we leave.

On the ground, locally led

Prosper Global co-designs response plans with local governments and organizations to move quickly and deploy on short notice. Our rapid analysis, paired with teams already in place, allows us to scale responses without delay.

Working beyond crises

Prosper Global responds when disaster hits—and we stay to work with communities to recover stronger. Meeting urgent needs and building long-term opportunities go hand in hand. For example, that can mean delivering cash so a family can buy food and medicine today, and providing seeds and tools so a farmer can plant, harvest, and keep food on the table months from now.
